"Clean, quiet and comfortable" - this is our benchmark for your stay in our attractive, European-run guesthouses. We aim to ensure you leave San Antonio with happy memories of pleasant days and restful nights.

Two Guest houses

Each guest house sleeps 7 people. Accommodation comprises:

• a dormitory for four
• a double bedroom
• a single bedroom

Each guest house has its own kitchen and recreation area.

Homestay

A completely different way to truly experience the culture and lifestyle of families in rural Ecuador. Several local families open their doors to our guests – what a fantastic way to experience this traditional way of life. As one guest put it "they treated me like their own son".

All homestay hosts offer a clean, private room, clean bathroom facilities (shared), boiled drinking water and good, well-cooked food as minimum requirements.

Cost of all accommodation (per person): Single $7 per night, Double $6, Quadruple $5.

Food

We offer delicious, mainly organic meals at remarkably low prices (typically $1.50 to $2 for a good meal).

Staple foods include

• fresh trout
• organic, free-range eggs
• organic chicken
• organic grass-fed beef
• organic cheese
• organic vegetables and salads

The local coffee (Rio Intag) is particularly delicious!

Self-caterers are welcome, and the organic vegetable garden is at your disposal for carrots, lettuces, coriander, parsley, maize, potatoes etc.

Those opting to take some or all of their meals with local families will receive a warm welcome and delicious, home-produced food. Typical core ingredients include maize, rice, beans, eggs and potatoes.
